Businesses affect our personal lives in so many ways that we cannot see them all. We expect to approach this issue holistically. It will be about how employees and customers interact with the business. It will address how business affects society. We need business leaders to fully engage in this process. Therefore, a critical element to success will be securing legal protections for any businesses that participate in this process. The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 is an excellent example of what can be accomplished with the right people and the right message for an important objective that can improve society. The legal protections are substantial and adaptable to meet the objectives of the act. We need the same thing here. I see the importance of executing this portion of the agenda. It is absolutely critical. I will bring this home as a win for us.
